The two ski resorts Gitschberg and Jochtal have grown together for many years to form a single family-friendly ski resort with 55 km of perfectly snowed slopes. In winter, the two villages of Maranza and Valles are connected by the modern Gaisjoch cable car and also offer non-skiers the great opportunity to spend a wonderful day with a magnificent panorama of the Dolomites.
The guests of the Tratterhof (1,500 m) use the free and continuous ski shuttle from the hotel to the Gitschberg valley station (duration: 3 minutes), where they take the cable car up to the middle station (1,620 m). From there you can either go directly to the Gitschberg mountain station (2,109 m), where you can stop at the Nesselhütte or the Gitschhütte, which is within walking distance. Alternatively, the Gaisjoch cable car takes you over the idyllic Valle d’Altafossa and then down to the village of Valles on the Schillingbahn. There, too, the day pass for winter hikers allows you to “climb up” to the Jochtal mountain restaurant (2,008 m). The return route goes in reverse order back to the Gitschberg valley station. There the Tratterhof ski shuttle awaits the guests again.
