Tratterhof is situated at an altitude of 1,500 metres on the outskirts of a sunny village called Meransen, right at the entrance to the Altfasstal valley. From there, the view stretches across the Eisacktal and Pustertal valleys all the way to the Dolomites.

You only need to step outside to enjoy mountain adventures, with hiking trails leading directly into the Altfasstal valley and the Pfunders mountains. Nature and panoramic views are your constant companions.

Meransen is about15 minutes’ drive from the Pustertal/Brixen motorway exit. From the village, follow the signs to the Altfasstal valley and you’ll reach Tratterhof after about one kilometre.

Yes. You can take the train to Brixen or Franzensfeste and take a connecting train to Mühlbach. If you are travelling via Brixen, bus route 401 will also take you to Mühlbach in around 20 minutes.

Yes. For an additional charge, the hotel taxi – available on request – will collect you from Mühlbach, Franzensfeste, Bozen or Brixen railway stations, as well as from Bozen, Innsbruck or Verona airports. Other collection points are also available on request. Collection from the Meransen bus stop is offered free of charge.

Südtirol Transfer offers a connection service between Tratterhof and Brixen railway station or the Vahrn long-distance coach station. Shared or private transfers can also be booked at short notice up until 5 pm the day before.

The regional airline SkyAlps offers direct flights from around 30 cities across Europe. On request and for an additional charge, Tratterhof can arrange a shuttle service from Bolzano, Verona and Innsbruck airports.

Guests are assigned one complimentary parking space in one of the hotel’s garages. This ensures a relaxed start to your stay, and gives your car the chance to take a well-deserved break while you’re staying with us.

Tratterhof is equipped with a charging station for electric cars, which is available for a small fee.
