March is one of the best months to come skiing in the Gitschberg Jochtal ski resort. The sun kisses the slopes well into the afternoon, making the terraces of the Alpine huts perfect for sitting back and indulging. Wonderful spring snow, sweeping views of the Dolomites and pleasantly mild temperatures guarantee the ultimate ski experience, made all the more memorable by special events that bring together music, Alpine flavours and joie de vivre.

The Alpine Table
Every hut tells its own tales of delight
From 15 to 22 March 2026, Gitschberg Jochtal pays tribute to Alpine cuisine with The Alpine Table festival. Each of the participating huts in the ski resort tells its own culinary tales through specially created dishes made from fresh South Tyrolean produce. Traditional Alpine classics take on a new twist, revealing artisanal skills and a deep connection to the land.
A simple break during your winter walk or ski adventure becomes an experience to savour, with a plate of regional specialities, a glass of wine or an aperitif on the sun terrace, and the feeling of a privileged insight into the very heart of South Tyrolean food culture, but from a brand-new perspective – authentic, creative and delectable.

Welcoming spring to the sound of music
As the days become longer and sunnier, we ski to a new rhythm – quite literally! From 23 to 28 March 2026, the Gitschberg Jochtal ski resort becomes a stage for the live concerts of South Tyrolean artists and bands.
Around noon, head to the participating huts: you’re in for a memorable lunch on the sun terrace, with great music and great views of the snowscape glistening under the sun.
Carve your way on perfect firn, enjoy an aperitif in the sun, and dance to the rhythm of the season – March is the perfect time for a mountain holiday!
The winter season comes to a festive close on 28 March, with the Mountain Spring Festival at the Gitschhütte hut: several bands will be performing against a breathtaking mountain backdrop, filling the air with plenty of good music and good cheer.
