Cheese is right on trend. The choice of products is enormous. South Tyrol with its more than 5,000 mountain farmers, the many milk processing cooperatives and the rustic alpine cheese dairies has advanced to become a proud cheese country. It was therefore only natural for us to introduce our guests not only to the rich selection of exquisite wines, breads and speck, but also to the local cheese. Our certified cheese sommelier Sascha checks the available assortment on the market at regular intervals, visits producers and protagonists and tastes selected cheeses with surprise potential. Every week he presents his personal favourites to the Tratterhof guests.
In this way he shares his passion for the matured milk speciality and brings our holidaymakers closer to the fascinating world of South Tyrol and many neighbouring regions.
At the same time there is the possibility to order the tasted specialities in the Tratterhof shop before departure so that the return home - still with a piece of South Tyrol in the suitcase - can be as aromatic as possible.
Cheese tastings currently take place every Thursday from 7.30 p.m. in the panorama restaurant.
