Panoramic platform and skiing for all levels

Since the two ski areas Gitschberg and Jochtal were connected a few years ago, the ski area Gitschberg Jochtal/Rio Pusteria is the largest ski area in the Valle Isarco valley. 55 kilometres of fun slopes of different degrees of difficulty guarantee skiers and snowboarders a lot of fun and variety.

Up on the mount Gitschberg you can enjoy the sun and the view from the panorama platform, the highest point on the Gitschberg. It is breathtakingly beautiful. Let yourself be impressed by the unbelievable 360° panorama which you can enjoy up here at 2,510 metres above sea level, with a view of over 500 mountain peaks.

From sunny Meransen/Maranza, take the connecting cable car across the Altfasstal/Valle Altafossa valley to Vals/Valles. Down there in the valley you will find fantastic slopes, especially for beginners. For those who find it too easy, the cable car takes you up to the local mountain of Vals/Valles, the Jochtal. Up there it is also wonderfully sunny and the blue, red and black pistes provide fun for all!

If your last days on the ski slopes were some time ago, or if you haven't mastered skiing yet but would like to learn it, then the Gitschberg Jochtal/Rio Pusteria ski region is also the right place for you! Our ski schools are among the best and have been awarded several times with national prizes. The ski instructors are not only competent and patient, but also with heart and soul. They themselves love to experience the wonderful mountain landscape on their skis and for this reason their joy and enthusiasm can be felt during the lessons!

Dolomiti Superski world in immediate vicinity

Our ski region Gitschberg Jochtal/Rio Pusteria is part of the Dolomiti Superski ski world. With one ski pass you ride in 12 ski regions of the Dolomites. This special ski pass includes 1,200 km of slopes guaranteed to snow.

Of course, our guests do not manage to visit all these beautiful ski resorts, as the holiday in South Tyrol is unfortunately never long enough. Therefore there is a great offer of combination ski passes Valle Isarco-Dolomiti Superski in our ski area Gitschberg Jochtal: with the combination ski pass 3+3 for example you can ski 3 days here in the Valle Isarco (Gitschberg Jochtal and Plose) and 3 days in the other ski areas of the Dolomites (e.g. Sella Ronda, Plan de Corones, Cortina d'Ampezzo, Seiser Alm,...). The combination ski passes 4+1 and 4+2 are also very popular and only available for a small surcharge on the usual 6-day ski pass.

The most beautiful ski areas of the Dolomites are in the immediate vicinity of the Bergidyll Hotel Tratterhof:

Tratterhof – Plan de Corones approx. 34 km 40 minutes
Tratterhof - Sella Ronda approx. 54 km 1 hour
Tratterhof - Alpe di Siusi approx. 50 km 1 hour
    Tratterhof - Arabba approx. 70 km 1 ½ hours
    Tratterhof - Cortina d'Ampezzo approx. 85 km 1 hour 50 minutes

Weekly guided ski day at the "Sellastock"

We recommend the combined ski pass 4+1 or 4+2 to all guests who would like to participate in our guided ski day on the Sella-Stock. This ski day takes place once a week and our ski guide is not only your personal companion, he will also be happy to explain to you which Dolomites you are looking at and the name of the mountain you are waving down. He knows his way around the Dolomites very well and has certainly already circumnavigated the wonderful Sella massif a few hundred times!
The lunch break is especially nice on this ski day. There is a stop at one of the alpine huts and while the muscles rest a bit, the guests chat comfortably with the ski guide. In addition, there is something warm and delicious for refreshment and the impressive view of the Dolomites, which rise into the sky directly in front of the hut!

During your winter holiday here in the Tratterhof you should definitely take the opportunity and take part in the guided ski day on the Sella-Stock. You will be thrilled!
